Beware: These have sugar and rice flour! November 19, 2008

Maybe I missed it somewhere on the page, but I browsed a bit last week for freeze-dried raspberries before deciding to order these organic ones. (I wanted them primarily to add to my oatmeal, which I make without sugar.) Notice the plain cover--organic is prominent, and raspberries is prominent. The general impression is that this is just raspberries.
Well, they arrived and they are not just raspberries. They are raspberries, organic cane sugar, and organic rice flour.
I'm pretty disappointed. The fact that they have sugar should be on the COVER, which I find misleading. I hope amazon.com makes this fact also more prominent. This product is not suitable for diabetics or folks with insulin resistance or prone to cavities. Or on low-carb diets. Beware.
As far as flavor, they're fine. Nice raspberry flavor (if a bit too sweet). A tad too hard, though. I've used other dried raspberries that plump up nicely in hot oatmeal. These stay sorta hard, even after 20 minutes in hot cereal.
If you don't mind sugar and flour added, these should be fine for you.
