I purchased this mainly because of the smaller size package. I had been purchasing the 13-bean soup and always had to much left. It took a little longer than the package said to cook the beans. The seasoning has a very nice taste, not at all like the ham flavoring in other bean soups I've tried, it's not to spicy or strong. 1 package was more than enough for a family of 4. Makes a very tasty side dish.
